awsome video that goes through the whole playoffs including some backstage stuff and footage of the Spurs finally winning an NBA Title!every so sweet.

I'm a native and this video depicts the class act of the San Antonio Spurs Organization and their loyal fans! I would recommend this tape to anyone who is a San Antonio Spurs fan but especially to those who just love the game of basketball! :)

This is really well made video for a Classy team. A definite Must for any San Antonio Spurs fan.

A delayed season got under way at the beginning of 1999, with a schedule of 50 games in about as many days. What was normally a marathon turned into a sprint because of the NBA lockout. San Antonio had a slow start but overcame it by pulling together a string of admirable team performances that helped them win 31 of their last 36 games, catapulting them into the playoffs with a home-court advantage...

The tagline for this movie at IMDB says "Packed with Technicolor Thrills!" - and this is exactly the case. After seeing a few Technicolor movies produced in the early 50's (notably - "Picnic" by William Holden) I'm inclined to view Technicolor as much more than just a color film process, it's rather a state of mind. Everything is hyper about Technicolor films in general and "The Naked Spur" in particular, starting with the color - and all the way up to human wickedness and charged sexuality. No production code is ever violated in "The Naked Spur", but it's so suggestive and powerful in its sexual undertones that even the wonderful Colorado landscapes add to this sexual appeal. "The Naked Spur" was produced long before anybody heard about PC, so the woman's role in this film is totally secondary and submissive. Even the happy end scene where Lina agrees to become Kemp's wife is very much a show of woman's transferring her allegiance to a powerful winning male. At the very end Kemp generously decides to spare Lina's sensibilities and not to take Ben's body to the authorities to claim bounty, but this happens already after Lina accepted his proposal. There are four male characters in the movie, and all of them're wicked to various degrees. Kemp, who's supposed to be a "good guy", does not really become one until well into the movie, and even at the very end he does not look spotless from the moral viewpoint. All others are plain bad, and the authors make no excuses, blaming human nature, which takes the first opportunity to follow greedy impulses to commit any crime. "The Naked Spur" is much more than a western, it's a psychological drama. Excellent script, superb performance by all cast, very professional camera work, beautiful scenery - the movie is a pleasure to watch.

I RECEIVED THE DVD IN EXCELLENT COND. AND IN A TIMELY MANNER. I WILL DO BUSINESS WITH THIS VENDOR IN THE FUTURE

"The Naked Spur",shot in 1953,an entertaining "western adventure". This James Stewart classic is loaded with bold scenery, rolling hills, and rocky river streams, the cinematography alone is worth the price of admission, added to that is the fine acting of James Stewart as a amateur bounty hunter searching for an old acquaintance wanted for murder. Along the way the bounty hunter meets up with a dishonorably discharged soldier(Ralph Meeker) and an old prospector(Millard Mitchell)both are wanting a piece of the action to share the profits. The wanted man is(Robert Ryan)and after being captured he has different ideas - to escape the hanging rope waiting at the end of the line, escape to California with the beautiful blonde(Janet Leigh)he has forcefully taken under his wing. Will the three captors bring the outlaw to justice? The answer lies within the "The Naked Spur". - filmed in glorious colour, excellent transfer, full screen,Warner Brothers DVD.

Excellent DVD with James Stewart - highly recommended. Sheila Box

The third film in the collaborations of director Anthony Mann and star James Stewart may also be the best of the bunch. This dark morality tale is about how conflicted loner Stewart is after killer Robert Ryan for a cash reward to restart his life. Along the way he is given unwanted assistance by two strangers(Ralph Meeker and Millard Mitchell) and Ryan's girl, beautiful Janet Leigh. What ensues is a tale of betrayal and greed, lust and disaster and alot of soul searching for Stewart, who's world weary man must discover a method to the madness, a point to existence. Stewart is superb in the lead role, conveying a sense of darkness and emotion that Mann was best to bring out. His tortured role is highly relateable and tragic. The conclusion of this film features one of Stewart's most heartbreaking and believable cinematic moments as his character transforms his belief that drove him for the previous ninety minutes in about ninety seconds. Ryan serves as the anchor to the picture, a devil's advocate that turns the other men against each other bringing about there worst feelings of greed and disception. His character's usually cheerful attitude makes his violence and language that much more disturbing. It's a brilliant performance. The rest of the cast are entirely believable with Mitchell as a likeable enough old Indian trader with a dream of hitting it big with a gold strike. Meeker is a former Army officer who proves a back stabbing, licentious creep. Leigh is typically warm and likeable, as well as being strong and independent. It's one of her best roles from thais early part of her career. Mann's use of cinematography is most effective creating a true sense of clausterphobia even among the mighty peaks and valleys of the Rocky Mountains. It may be my fvaorite shot of the Mann westerns for the locatiosn themselves become there own character, imposing and foreboding. The DVD features typical Warner Bros extras including two short subjects and a Theatrical Trailer. The extras are pleasant, but am I surprised that no one did commentary on this classic. A mini-documentary would have been welcome as well. If your a Western film buff, consider this one a must own. It's one of the top twenty five of the genre's history and essential cinema.

This six movie collection by James Stewart is great! I had seen these movies in my younger years, when they would be new in the theatre. I wanted them to add to my movie collection. I love watching good movies over and over. James Stewart is worth seeing over and over. "The Spirit Of St. Louis" really gets to the insight of early aviation.

some of these movies (the naked spur and spirit of st louis) are a complete waste of time. The FBI Story is enjoyable but full of fbi propoganda and not centered toward what actually happened.

This was a awesome buy me & my husband loved every movie and it was delivered the very next day....we are so happy with this purchase.

James Stewart has always been recognized as one of the great American actors. His depth is explored in this set--from the likeable Lindberg of 'Spirit of St. Louis' to the accident-prone schlub in 'The Stratton Story', Stewart displays his ability to connect with the audience. The one film where he tries to play against type--'The Naked Spur' finally ends with Stewart's character being likeable--even after spending the entire film as an embittered man. Anyway, a nice group of films from one of the great American talents.

Jimmy Stewart ... one of the greatest actors, AND Americans ever !! This is a very nice collection of six of his movies, with The Stratton Story and The Spirit of St. Louis being two of his best. Of course, you will need to also purchase "Harvey", and "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence", in order to view his two VERY bests.

Chef! - The Complete Series One Chef! - The Complete Series One

Reviews

The show is primarily about an imperious chef and his staff, running a kitchen in an upscale French cuisine restaurant. The pompous, "Britain's finest" Chef frequently bursts out in eloquent oratory, mainly on how low his lowlife employees are. The Chef is a perfectionist, to the extent that he will ignore the law by buying illegal, unpasteurized Stilton cheese to get the taste he wants. Then there is his beautiful wife, trying to reign-in his excessive spending on ingredients and feeling somewhat neglected. What is a bit unusual is that with one minor exception the show does not involve wine. The writing is witty, engaging and sophisticated. It derives its humor from plausible situations, rather than stuff like sticking pencils in your nose to get a laugh, and it does not use profanity or vulgarity. The episodes are amusing, there are many funny moments, but you will not fall out of your chair laughing. To those more familiar with the culinary arts, there are more humorous moments in the preparation of certain dishes. One thing the show does, it makes you want to cook, or at least eat something really delicious. Also, the people with high blood pressure who put salt on their food only in their dreams, may find the show helpful, as the Chef presents a most compelling and rational case against salting food. After watching that, one may feel perfectly fine not using salt and liking it.

The Chef Series One was incredibly funny. I'm going to buy the other sets. The writing on this show is wonderful and the actors are superb. You won't regret owning this copy.

i started watching on tv awhile ago i couldn't get it out of my head when i saw it was for sale on amazon i couldn't help myself but to buy it. i wasn't disappointed it was just as great as i remember it. it a classic and i would recommand everyone to watch this fantastic british show..it's funny it's down to earth . it shows the work a great chef goes thou at work and at home . belive me you have to buy it to understand just how wonderful this show is .i'm gonna to buy part 2 soon . it has three series to it and it worth the money.good luck and i hope you enjoy it just as much as i have it a wonderful item to have in your movie collection....

I was a big fan of this series will working overseas. I could access the BBC television feeds and enjoyed Chef!, Monty Python and another must see but little known series called "Allo Allo". I agree with many of the other reviews found here about the series, seasons one and two are superior, it is a shame that season three fall short. There was a major change, director, writers, some characters and the format of the production in mass doomed what was a great and witty series. I can recommend season one and two without question, but stay away from season three unless you need to see the contrasting decline.

I have watched this so many times, I can quote it by heart. Lenny Henry makes Gordon Ramsay look like a kindergarten kid .... and Lenny is actually funny!

Tuli's Heavy Duty Heel Cups Tuli's Heavy Duty Heel Cups

Reviews

I have Achilles tendinitis and I spend a lot of time walking on uneven surfaces. I'm 5'9.5" and weigh 200lbs. I used these in my work boot. They weren't very comfortable from the start but they did prevent me from painfully overstretching my Achilles tendon. However, when I was on my feet for an extended period of time, more than 3 hours, the inserts became extremely uncomfortable and eventually painful.

When I first opened these, I thought that I had possibly just wasted some money, but I was so wrong. I have gone from barely able to walk because of heel pain to almost pain free! Definitely a great product at a great price.

I've only recently been suffering from plantar Fasciitis in my right foot, and looked on-line for ways to help reduce my pain. I bought Tuli's heavy duty heel cups because of the good reviews. I have to admit that the first 2 days of wearing these, I felt no improvement. However, I decided to keep wearing them and by day 3, felt an improvement. By the end of the week, my sore foot pain was diminished by about 70%. For the price, it does an incredible job of helping to ease the pain. The only reason that I didn't give it a 5-star rating was because these things take up room in the shoes. I found that I couldn't fit these AND my feet in some of my favorite shoes, but with my sneakers, I could adjust the laces to give my feet more room. With that being its only downfall, I would highly recommend these for relief.

Worked as advertised. I just put them in and my shoes no longer hurt my heels. It's as simple as that.

Excellent product, escellent service. Too bad Amazon makes it so hard to give a good recommendation!!!
